Headache, Migraines, and Pain... Oh My!

How many of your loved ones suffer with Headaches or Migraines? Here is an interesting fact, did you (yes you, the reader) know that nearly 1 in every 4 people in American suffer from Migraine Headaches? Also, it is more common in women (18%) than in Men (6%), and every 10 seconds in America someone goes to the ER for a Headache or Migraine?  This is not okay, and there are natural ways (without side effects) of correcting this!

In my years of working on patients, I have seen amazing miracles. Nothing touches me more than seeing a patient who had been suffering for years with Migraines, who tried “everything” before all of a sudden not suffer after one adjustment! As a Doctor, I know that Headaches, like back pain, are not normal, there has to be a reason why a person has them and by using medication, we block the symptoms and are not treating the CAUSE (that’s the reason why they return)! In multiple Clinical Studies, Chiropractic has shown to help with Headaches and Migraines!

As you know, I am not one for research because if you look for new research, you will be behind everyone else in the present. But, doing so, here are some clinical research findings…

  • In one study of people with migraines, 22% of those who received chiropractic manipulation reported more than a 90% reduction of attacks. Also, 49% reported a significant reduction of the intensity of each migraine.
  • In another study, people with migraine headaches were randomly assigned to receive spinal manipulation, a daily medication (Elavil), or a combination of both. Spinal manipulation worked as well as Elavil in reducing migraines and had fewer side effects. Combining the two therapies didn't work any better
  • In addition, researchers reviewed 9 studies that tested chiropractic for tension or migraine headaches and found that it worked as well as medications in preventing these headaches.

Not every Chiropractor adjusts the same, there are over 100 techniques and 10+ alone are taught at some of the Universities. I have great success with Headaches/Migraines because of the technique I specialize in. Sacro-Occipital Technique corrects not just the pinched nerves but also Dural Tension (casing that protects the brain and spinal cord) and the restriction of the flow of Cerebral Spinal Fluid (CSF), which is the fluid that surrounds the brain and spinal cord. We do so by a very thorough analysis and adjusting the patient in a certain pattern to correct the Subluxations (pinched nerves), resulting in a decrease of Dis-Ease.  So when I work on a patient with Headaches/Migraines, we look at every aspect to find the cause of these issues, giving the patient great results!

There is hope for people who suffer with severe Headaches and Migraines! That hope is Chiropractic and it has been around for over 100 years! Let us change your life and your loved one’s lives too!
